Welcome to TENNIS.IS !    We offer a range of services within the sport of tennis here in Reykjavik, Iceland.  

Tennis Instruction  Summer 2016
Children 7-16

Starting June 13th., we will be offering  summer courses for children 7 – 16 years  at our four court outdoor facility, the Viking Tennis Club, located at Traðarland 1, 108 Reykjavik.   Courses are held from 9am-12pm and 1pm – 4pm workdays  for  beginner through advance level children.   Students who are starting out learn the technical and tactical  fundamentals of tennis, the rules and practice a range of exercises to improve their athletic ability.   Advanced players receive training to enhance their matchplay ability – tactical and mental training,  as well as tennis specific fitness exercises.

Adults
We offer private and group tennis lessons all year round.   Starting June 13th., we will be offering three-week courses for beginners on Mondays and Wednesdays, from 18:30-19:30.   Course dates are June 13 – July 8, July 11 – August 5 & August 8 – September 2.  All necessary equipment is provided on-site and an individual summer membership is included.   Cost – 30.000 Icelandic kronur.  For private or semi-private lessons, please call Raj at 820-0825 to make arrangements.

Court rental
(May 1 – September 1)
We offer summer memberships at a price of 15.000 kr. / individual & 25.000 kr. / family which allows unlimited court usage all summer long.  Hourly rental fees are 2.000 kr./ hour.   Courts are open from 6:00 – 23:00.

Teaching Staff
Courses are taught by tennis director  Raj K. Bonifacius,  International Tennis Federation Level 3 / Professional Tennis Registry  coach  with over 20 years experience in teaching young children the basics of tennis as well as coaching the national Davis Cup,  Fed Cup and junior squads.   And TSI certified coach Rafn Kumar Bonifacius, 2015 & 2016 National Icelandic Men´s Champion.

Location
The Viking Tennis Club is located at Traðarland 1, 108 Reykjavik.  We are the largest outdoor tennis facility in Iceland, two artificial grass courts, two acrylic hard courts and a hitting wall.   If you choose to use public transportation, bus lines 11 & 17 stop just 200 meters from the courts or use the newly expanded  bike & walk paths that lead you directly to our courts.
